the glorious red.




And if all they choose to tell us are the subtle untruths and the jealous spites, then so be it. 
I never told you because I was ashamed, but they feel more like family than those other people ever will. 

I love you more than more. And I see the hits you take and keep your quiet about. 
I see you clench and grit and smile and roar and bite and snarl.
Sometimes pride is a glorious, roaring, cleansing thing. I see you and yours. 
I give you me and mine. 
Family is sometimes all we have when the world comes down around us. 
You would do well to remember that once in a while. You don't know what you're missing here.
