the visions of the blind.

I dream of a place where everyday people gather by the thousands to sing simply because they can.
Where they dance for joy and glory and light candles as colorful as the rainbows and as laughing as the wind and as many as the stars in the sky.
Where bells alight like music and happiness is everyday fare in a household that believes in magic.
Where fathers are proud of their sons and love their wives more than it is deemed possible for men to love their women.
Where dreaming sons and daughters hurry home from faraway places to join the family festivities.
Where mothers know their sons and where sons know their mothers: each more than the insides of their own hearts or souls.
Where dreams of their own making spirit daughters dreamtimes away but who will always bring them home in the end.
Where family is everything.

No heed to the ghosts today. Maybe tomorrow: but not today.
Today is for train rides and books and dreams where people speak like birds: all song and whistle and melody.
